by Heinrich, Ritter von Levitschnigg von Glomberg (1810 - 1862)

Zur Zeit, wenn Alles schlummern geht
Language: German (Deutsch)
Zur Zeit, wenn Alles schlummern geht,
Nur Gott nicht und mein Lieben,
Da sprech' ich fromm das Nachtgebeth,
Das ich mir selbst geschrieben.

Es lautet:  Benedeite mein,
Um dich, um nichts sonst werb' ich;
Mag' noch so schön der Himmel sein,
Dir leb' ich und dir sterb' ich!

Der Inbegriff von Seligkeit,
Ist mir dein süßer Namen,
Drum bleib' ich dein durch alle Zeit
Todt und lebendig.  Amen!
