by Peter Johann Willatzen (1824 - 1898)

Hörst du's hoch in Lüften ziehn?
Language: German (Deutsch)
Hörst du's hoch in Lüften ziehn?
Hörst du's rauschen dir zu Füßen?
Das sind Frühlingsmelodien,
Liebes Mädchen, die dich grüßen.

Jubelhymnen schmettern hell
Sangesfrohe Lerchenkehlen;
Rieselnd eilt zu Thal der Quell,
Sich der Quelle zu vermählen.

Maienglanz!  Waldlilienduft!
Hier erglüht die erste Rose!
Alles, Mädchen, Alles ruft:
"Weil du jung bist, lieb und kose!"
