by Richard Fedor Leopold Dehmel (1863 - 1920)

Blick ins Licht
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  FRE
Still von Baum zu Bäumen schaukeln
meinen Kahn die Uferwellen;
märchenblütenblau umgaukeln
meine Fahrt die Schilflibellen,
Schatten küssen den Boden der Flut.

Durch die dunkle Wölbung der Erlen
- welch ein funkelndes Verschwenden -
streut die Sonne mit goldenen Händen
silberne Perlen
in die smaragdenen Wirbel der Flut.

Durch die Flucht der Strahlen schweben
bang nach oben meine Träume,
wo die Bäume
ihre krausen Häupter heben
in des Himmels ruhige Flut.

Und in leichtem, lichtem Kreise
weht ein Blatt zu meinen Füßen
nieder; und des Friedens leise
weiße Taube seh ich grüßen,
fernher grüßen
meiner Seele dunkle Flut.
