Verwahrt vorm froste in der grauen scherbe
Betrübt mich nur trotz meiner guten pflege
Und hängt das haupt als ob sie langsam sterbe.

Um ihrer frühern blühenden geschicke
Erinnerung aus meinem sinn zu merzen
Erwähl ich scharfe waffen und ich knicke
Die blasse blume mit dem kranken herzen.

Was soll sie nur zur bitternis mir taugen?
Ich wünschte dass vom fenster sie verschwände ..
