Heimliche Liebe
Language: German (Deutsch)
Sie reden so selig von Wonne,
Von Sonne und sonnigem Schein;
O Liebe, du böse Liebe,
Wie schaffst du tiefinnere Pein
Und kommst doch so heimlich und leise
In's Herze hinein!

Es grünen die Reben am Hügel,
Es blühen die Blumen im Thal;
O Frühling, du trüber Frühling,
So trüb' noch kein einziges Mal -
Das schaffet die heimliche Liebe,
Die liebende Qual.

Sie reden so selig von Wonne,
Von Sonne und sonnigem Schein.
O Liebe, du böse Liebe
Wie schaffst du tiefinnere Pein
Und kommst doch so heimlich und leise
In's Herze hinein.

Confirmed with Gedichte von Carl Siebel, 2. Aufl., Iserlohn, 1859.
