Wärst du beim hellen Sonnenschein Gegangen in die Welt hinein Zu wandern: Sie hätte wohl ihr Glück und Gold Auch deinen Augen aufgerollt Wie andern! Und wärst mit hellem Auge du Dahingeflogen immerzu Im Wandern: Du stießest nicht an Stock und Stein Und lachtest in die Welt hinein Mit andern! Und hättest du in stiller Nacht Die Augen besser aufgemacht Im Wandern: So müßtest du nicht kosend sehn Die Mägdlein an den Fenstern stehn Mit andern!
