by Anton Alexander, Graf von Auersperg (1806 - 1876), as Anastasius Grün

Mädchen sind ein Blumenvölkchen
Language: German (Deutsch)
Mädchen sind ein [Blumenvölkchen]1
Bunter Art emporgeblüht;
Traun, das ist kein wackrer Gärtner,
Der nur Eine Blume zieht!

Mädchenlippen, das sind Becher,
Nectarsüß und wunderlieb;
Welch' armsel'ger Zechgenosse,
Der bei Einem Becher blieb.

Mädchenaugen sind Gestirne,
Klarer stiller Mondenschein,
Sonnen, blendend und verzehrend,
Sterne, blinzelnd, hell und rein.

Nach gar vielen Lichtgestirnen
Späht der Astronom hinauf;
So nur geht ihm ganz der reiche,
Ew'ge Himmel leuchtend auf.
