Träume

Hoch am Felsen eine Tanne steht, 
Schwankt und rauscht, vom Nachthauch stark umweht, 
Wie im Traume, hell vom Mond umsäumt: 
Weiß ich aber, was die Tanne träumt? 

Bei der Tanne lag ich in der Nacht. 
Und es schneite aus der Sternenpracht 
Hell herunter mir ein goldner Traum: 
Aber was ich träumte weiß ich kaum.
