by Rudolph Baumbach (1840 - 1905)

Tag für Tag im Kämmerlein
Language: German (Deutsch)
Tag für Tag im Kämmerlein
Zog ieh meinen Faden.
Heut hat mich der Sonnenschein
Vor die Thür geladen.
In mein kleines Gartenland
Bin ich eingetreten,
Statt der Blumen aber stand
Unkraut in den Beeten.

Auf den Wegen nebenan
Wuchert grün im Kiese
Vogeltritt und Löwenzahn
Wie auf einer Wiese.
Nur ein schmaler Pfad ist quitt
Aller Unkrautplage,
Weil den Pfad mein Friede tritt
Sechsmal alle Tage.
