by Julian Tuwim (1894 - 1953)

Jest smutne okno na stacji
Language: Polish (Polski)
Jest smutne okno na stacji,
Skąd widać pola dalekie,
Skąd widać szyny, pociągi
I trzy drzewiny kalekie.

Skąd widać ludzi, co jadą
W dalekie smutne podróże,
Skąd widać jesień rosyjską
I szare niebo - hen, w górze...

I jest niezmierna tęsknota,
I żale stare, banalne,
I oczy bardzo dalekie,
I słowa, słowa żegnalne...

Ach, serce biedne, wzgardzone!
Ach, oczy śmiesznie płaczące!
O, łkania w noce bezsenne!
O, łzy miłości gorące!

"Nie dla mnie pan, panie Płaksin,
Dla mnie Włas Fomycz, artysta
Z duszą poety marzącą.
A pan co? - Telegrafista!"

Czyta Piotr Płaksin i myśli:
"Po co ja komu na świecie!"
I myśli jeszcze: "Jak ślicznie
Włas Fomycz gra na klarnecie..."
