Seeing how my ills are continually multiplying,
And that in the end I can no longer bear them,
I am forced, in order to comfort myself,
To give myself back to you, the excess of my life.

I beseech you and humbly beg you,
For the sake of the woes with which I am filled,
Never to consider abandoning me,
Since I am yours for the rest of my life.
