Mikael
Language: Swedish (Svenska)
De svarta molnen sjunga
en sång på Mikaels dag
och svepa rymden i tunga
och dånande vingeslag:
Som gamar av öknen vi hasta
i härjningens röda spår,
tills vintersvanarna kasta
sitt dun över lundernas sår

De sorgsna furorna sjunga
på Mikaels mulna dag:
Ro, ro, du unga,
som föddes så sen och svag,
du sista, bleka prinsessa
av vårviolernas hus,
som lyfte din gula hjässa
mot sista soldagens ljus.

Mitt hjärta sjunger och bävar
i Mikaels mörka kväll,
ty skuggan av gamen svävar
hotfullt under dess päll,
och snart skall dess himmel lysa
av svanarnas vinterfärd
och sista drömmen förfrysa
som födts i violernas värld.
