Un souffle matinal fleurit de vagues roses 
Les jardins de l'azur déjà bordés de lis 
Et, de ses doigts lactés en soulevant les plis, 
L'Aube ouvre l'infini du ciel devant les choses.

Les paupières d'argent des astres se sont closes 
Sur le regard mourant de leurs rayons pâlis ; 
Et les retours divins sont encore accomplis 
Des formes renaissant sous les métamorphoses.

Réveil sacré du Jour qui, dans l air enchanté,
Verses, comme un flot d'or, l'immortelle clarté, 
De mon cœur ténébreux respecte le mystère. 

Son ombre chère fuit la splendeur des flambeaux :
Car, ainsi qu'une lampe au profond des tombeaux, 
Mon sombre amour y luit, étoile solitaire !
