Kein Zweiglein giebt's, es hat ein Blatt Und jedes Blatt ist grün, Und zwischen Blatt und Zweiglein hat Ein Blümchen auch zu blüh'n. Kein Hälmchen steht in Feld und Hain, Es hat ein Tröpflein Thau, Das funkelt zart wie Sternelein An blauer Himmelsau. Kein Vög'lein giebt es, das nicht auch Ein Liedchen mitgebracht; Es klingt der Baum, es singt der Strauch Von früh bis in die Nacht. Ist wo ein Menschenherz so arm, Dass sich's nicht freuen kann, Geh, Frühling, lindre seinen Harm, Und lächl' es selig an!
