Mai
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  ENG FRE
Nun aber hebt zu singen an
Der Mai mit seinen Winden.
Wohl dem, der suchen gehen kann
Und bunte Blumen finden!

Die Schönheit steigt millionenfach
Empor aus schwarzer Erden;
Manch eingekümmert Weh und Ach
Mag nun vergessen werden.

Denn dazu ist der Mai gemacht,
Daß er uns lachen lehre.
Die Herzen hoch! Und fortgelacht
Des Grames Miserere!

Mai
Language: French (Français)  after the German (Deutsch)
Mais aujourd'hui, il commence à chanter,
Le mois de mai avec ses vents.
Heureux celui qui peut aller chercher
Et trouver des fleurs de toutes couleurs.

La beauté jaillit mille fois
De la noire terre ;
Bien des maux et des plaintes
Peuvent maintenant être oubliés.

Car le mois de mai est ainsi fait
Qu'il nous apprend à rire.
Haut les cœurs ! Et rions encore
Miserere du chagrin !
