Шла девица прогуляться, на лужёк покрасоваться,
Вдруг навстречу ей козёл!
Старый, грязный, бородатый,
Страшный, злой и весь мохнатый, сущий чорт!
И девица испугалась,
От козла бегом помчалась прямо в куст,
И притаилась,
Еле дышет, чуть жива.
Шла девица под венец,
Знать пришла пора ей замуж, ну и вышла!
Муж и старый и горбатый,
Лысый, злой и бородатый, сущий чорт.
Что-ж, девица испугалась?
Гм! Как же!
Она к мужу приласкалась,
Уверяла, что верна, гм! что в мужа влюблена,
Что примерная жена.

Une jeune fille allait se promener, dans la prairie pour se montrer,
Soudain elle rencontra un bouc !
Vieux, sale, barbu,
Terrible, méchant et tout plein de polis, un vrai démon !
Et la jeune fille fut effrayée,
Elle courut loin du bouc dans les buissons,
Et se cacha,
Respirant à peine, à peine vivante.
La jeune fille alla sous le voile,
Il est temps de se marier, et elle y alla !
Le mari était vieux et bossu,
Chauve, méchant et barbu, un vrai démon !
Alors, quoi ? est-ce qu'elle eut peur ?
Hum ! Pourquoi ?
Elle caressa son mari,
Et l'assura de sa fidélité, hum ! qu'elle aimait son mari,
Qu'elle serait une femme exemplaire !
