Tot és tranquil al bosc, remoreja tan sols el rierol, mormolant suaument, a través de l’entrellum de les branques escolta un ocell cantaire en el verd fullatge. Damunt les poncelles de flors es bressen papallones a la llum del sol, escarabats daurats voleien i bugonen i et fan adormir. Reposàvem sota els arbres a l’ombra, damunt la fresca molsa en dolços, feliços somnis de benaurats destins humans. Ens pensàvem que érem sols, sols del món al nostre entorn, parlàvem: sóc teu, ets meva! I no teníem cap mes desig. Llavors arribà la senyora Amor i ens mirà somrient i ens enxampà abraçats la dona i l’home feliç. Ens espargí flors al damunt i ens cantà una encisadora cançó, fruírem de la seva presència i no ens adonàrem quan ella marxà. Senyora Amor, quan tornaràs pel camí del bosc tranquil? Ajup-te sota les branques i cerca tan sols, aviat ens trobaràs.
