Daß von blauen Lidern Tränen stürzen
Unaufhaltsam;
Hinüberschimmern der Schwermut
Kristallne Minuten
Zur Nacht.

Ever calmer homecoming,
the abandoned garden, dark reflection  
of childhood years,
that tears fall from blue lids
unstoppably;
melancholy’s crystal minutes
blink over
to the night.
