Duld' es still, wenn von den Zweigen
Von den überfüllten Zweigen,
Blüten weh'n ins fromme Haar,
Und sich sacht herüberneigen, 
So im Durst herüberneigen,
Lippen sich auf Lippenpaar.

Sieh, ein Beben süß und wunderlich
Rinnt durch übersonnte Blätterreihen.
Alle Blüten, die sie niederstreuen,
Segen streuen sie auf dich und mich.

Bear it quietly, when from the branches,
From the over-filled branches,
Blossoms drift onto your demure locks,
And gently lips lean over
Thus thirstily lips lean over,
Toward a pair of lips.

See, a trembling, sweet and wondrous, runs
Through rows of leaves bestrewn with sunlight.
With all the blossoms that they drop down,
They scatter blessings upon you and me.
