und wenn es flammt, jedweden Blitzes Licht:
Rastlose Nächte quält die Leidenschaft,
doch über meine Schmerzen klag' ich nicht:
Geliebter, dauert ewig diese Trennung
sieh, wie mir Stück für Stück das Herz zerbricht.
O, segne einmal nur das Auge wieder,
auf Erden wünsch' ich mir sonst kein Gesicht:
Glaub' nicht, ein andrer könne mich erfüllen,
für andre Liebe längst der Raum gebricht.

i quan flamareja, a cada llampegueig de llum:
