Jag längtar dit bort till mitt hjärtas mö
med händer så mjuka och tankar så ljusa.
Jag längtar dit bort till min lyckas ö,
där fåglarna sjunga och forsarna brusa,
där blommorna strö om våren sin snö,
och skogarna viska och susa.
 
Jag längtar dit bort till mitt hjärtas ro,
till läppar så varma och ögon så veka.
Jag längtar dit bort, där rosorna gro,
där källorna spela och bäckarna leka,
där drömmarna bo bland kärlek och tro,
och vindarna svalka och smeka.

Kaipuuni saari

Kaipaan sinne, missä sydämeni löytää ystävän,
jonka kädet ovat niin pehmeät ja ajatukset niin valoisat.
Minä kaipaan sinne onneni saarelle,
jossa linnut laulavat ja kosket pauhaavat,
jossa keväällä sataa kukkien valkolunta
ja metsät kuiskivat ja suhisevat.
 
Kaipaan pois sinne, missä sydämeni löytää rauhan,
lämpmien huulien ja hellien silmien luo.
Kaipaan pois sinne, missä ruusut kasvavat,
missä lähteet solisevat ja purot leikkivät,
missä unelmat asuvat rakkauden ja uskollisuuden kanssa,
ja vilpoisat tuulet hyväilevät.
