Herr Wirt, gib einen Schoppen Wein,
Es darf vom allerbesten sein,
Mir ists beileibe nicht ums Sparen.
Und du, was stehst du so allein,
Du mit den blonden Haaren?

Komm her, du Kleine, sei kein Fratz,
Bald rückt die Musik auf den Platz,
Wir dürfen doch beim Tanz nicht fehlen!
Nachher im Walde, lieber Schatz,
Muß ich dir was erzählen . . .

Dimanche de mai

Qui nous permet une promenade en plein air
Et la visite de joyeux villages
Où derrière chaque appentis
Les filles sont dans leurs beaux atours.

Aubergiste, donne un quart de vin,
Il doit être du meilleur,
Je ne veux vraiment pas être ladre !
Et toi, pourquoi restes-tu seule,
Toi avec tes cheveux blonds ?

Viens là, petite, ne fais pas de simagrées,
Les musiciens arrivent bientôt sur la place
Nous ne pouvons manquer la danse !
Après quoi, dans la forêt, cher trésor,
Je te raconterai quelque chose …
