Frühlings‑Gedanke

Wenn Frühlingslüfte durch die Birken weh'n,
mit off'nen Augen rings die Blumen steh'n,
die Vögel zwitschern auf belaubtem Ast,
und alles spielt und lacht im Sonnenglast,
werd' ich von einer Hoffnung Traum umkost,
indes der Strom des Lebens mich umtost:
Hier muss es sein auf diesem Erdenrund,
wenn sie von Gott dem Herrn dereinst verklärt wird,
dass uns der Freuden Überschwang wird kund
und höchsten Glückes Fülle uns beschert wird.
