Ces neigeuses phalanges,
Ce ne sont pas des nuages légers,
Ce sont les moutons des Anges.
Car lorsqu'ils ont fini de dire les Louanges,
Tous les Anges sont des bergers.
Clochettes, chantez comme les mésanges
Aux champs étoilés pleins de fleurs de miel !
Sonnez, clochettes du ciel !
Sonnez, clochettes des moutons des Anges !

wie weiße Herden, die sich an den Stränden
eines mysteriösen Ozeans versammelt haben?
Diese schneebedeckten Phalanxen,
das sind keine Luftwolken,
das sind die Schafe der Engel.
Denn wenn sie mit lobpreisen fertig sind,
sind alle Engel Hirten.
Glöckchen, singt wie die Meisen
Zu den Sternenfeldern voller Honigblumen!
Klingt, Glöckchen des Himmels!
Klingt, Glöckchen der Engelsschafe!
