Das ist ein Gans,
sie hat zwi breite Fuß'
dazu ein langen Hals
ihr Füß' sind gelb, ihre Stimm ist hell,
sie sind nicht schnell,
der best' Gesang denn sie kann:
da da da da das ist gik gak gik gak gik gak

singen wir zu Sant Martinstag.
Ein Gans, ein Gans gesotten,
gebraten bei dem Feu'r ist gut,
ein' guten Wein dazu --
ein' guten fröhlichen Mut.
Denselbigen Vogel sollen wir loben
der da schnattert und dattert im Haberstroh
So singen wir Benedicamus Domino.
