Bei den Tauben
Language: German (Deutsch)
Guckediru!
Ruckedigu!
Siehst du im Schlag den Tauben zu?
Der Täuber flog auf Nahrung aus;
das Täubchen saß und hütete
die Eierchen und brütete.
Nun bringt er frishes Korn nach Haus
und küßt sein Weibchen: Trutste Fru,
bist du mir gut? Ruckedigu!

With the pigeons
Language: English  after the German (Deutsch)
Cooroockdooroo!
Roocoodooroo!
Are you watching the pigeons in their cot?
The cock pigeon flew out to fetch food;
the hen pigeon sat and watched over
the little eggs and incubated them.
Now he is bringing fresh wheat back home
And he kisses his little wife: Most faithful mate,
are you fond of me? Roocoodooroo!
