Mit gutem Fahrwind

O Wind, mit lustigem Fluge,
Wie hauchst Du so lind und weich!
Wie schwellst Du mit [frischerem]¹ Zuge
Das Herz und die Segel zugleich!

Wol lag in der Mittagshitze
Das Meer so trostlos glatt;
Wol hing von des Mastes Spitze
Das Wimpel schlaff und matt.

Nun aber hebt sich ein Rauschen,
Das Wasser sich munter wiegt;
Die weißen Segel bauschen,
[Am Mäste die Flagge]² fliegt.

Die Sonne geht zu Rüste,
Kühlung athmet die Fluth;
Ich grüße die ferne Küste,
Und nun ist Alles gut.

你的气息是如此高涨，
心儿与风帆同时走！

大概正午炎热的时候
荒凉平静海面；
它正悬挂在桅杆顶部
三角旗软而暗。

但现在出现了噪声，
海水欢快地摇晃；
白帆不停地摆动，
桅杆上旗帜飘扬。

太阳渐渐地升高，
洪波呼吸凉意；
我向远方海岸问好，
现在一切顺利。
