He polit la teva fulla fins a fer-la lluent, et deixo cantar el xiulet de la mort. En el fum de la pólvora bramula l’afany, hem bescanviat, oh sabre, els nostres goigs. En el most escumejant, assedegat acer meu, embriaga’t, tasta de cor en cor. Mentre tu tastes la sang vermella, se’m rovella la gola de la xardor.
