Moltes nits felices ja s’han emblavit al meu damunt,
però mai he vist les estrelles com avui.

Les muntanyes es drecen abruptes amb el front espadat,
una suau resplendor passa d’una gelera a l’altra.

Estès al seu damunt, el cel proper somia
meravellosament pur i estrellat.

Amb llums poderoses, silents, riques i gentils,
llurs imatges s’arrengleren en benaurada rotllana.

Una gran pau vetlla damunt llurs corones
i m’omple l’ànima amb una freda lluïssor.

De forma que la vida, que lluny allà baix s’agita,
no és res més per a mi que un ahir mig oblidat.
