Tweedledum and Tweedledee
Agreed to have a battle;
For Tweedledum said Tweedledee
Had spoiled his nice new rattle.

Just then flew down a monstrous crow
As big as a tar-barrel;
Which frightened both the heroes so,
They quite forgot their quarrel.

First appeared in print in this form in Original Ditties for the Nursery, 1805. Later quoted by Lewis Carroll in Through the Looking-Glass, and sometimes attributed to him.
