Entschlummert

Nun ruht der Wald, die Buchen schlafen, vom Glanz der Sterne überdacht. Der Hirte schläft bei seinen Schafen; und auf der Erde sieht die Nacht. Die Welt ist still, still wie zum Sterben, nur eine tiefe Sehnsucht singt ein letztes Lied mit leisem Werben und wird dann ruhig, und verklingt.
