Les nids, la verdure,
Par le vent du nord ont été flétris!

Cet air je l'appris 
Dans un jour de spleen que la vie endure,
Lonlaire lonla,
L'obsession dure
Et, du même ennui, tout mon être est pris.
Lonlaire lonla,
Cet air monotone 
Se mèle aux accords mineurs de l'automne.
À peine si mon oreille perçoit,
Lonlaire lonla,
Ce chant qui l'effleure,
Mon esprit rabat ses ailes en soi,

L'obsessió persisteix
I, amb la mateixa lassitud, tot el meu ésser resta capturat.
