La pesca dell'anello
Language: Italian (Italiano)
Our translations:  ENG
Ell'eran tre sorelle,
e tutt' e tre d'amò'
Rosetta, la più bella,
si mise a naviga'.
Nel navigar che fece,
l'anello gli cascò.
- O pescator dell'onde,
vieni a pescar più qua!
Pescami lo mio anello,
che m'è cascato in mar.
- Quando l'avrò pescato,
cosa mi vuoi donà'?
- Cento zecchini d'oro,
'na borsa recamà.
- Non vo' tanti zecchini,
né borsa recamà'.
Solo un bacin d'amore,
se tu me lo vo' da'.
- Cosa dirà la gente
che ci vedrà baciar?
- Dirà che l'è l'amore,
che ce l'ha fatto fa'!

The fisher of rings
Language: English  after the Italian (Italiano)
There once were three sisters,
and all of them fit to love.
Rosetta, the most beautiful,
decided to go off to sea.
On her ocean voyage,
her ring fell off.
O fisherman of the waves,
come fish closer!
Fish out my ring,
that fell in the sea.
- When I have fished it out,
what would you like to give me?
One Hundred golden coins,
  an embroidered purse.
- I don't want so many coins,
  nor an embroidered purse.
  Only a loving kiss,
if you want to give one to me.
- What will people say,
  seeing us kiss?
- They will say
that love has made it happen.
