by Edward Frederick Lockton (1876 - 1940), as Edward Teschemacher
Translation by Stéphan Bordèse (1847 - 1919)

L'abeille
Language: French (Français)  after the English
Our translations:  DUT
En bourdonnant de fleur en fleur
L'intelligent abeille
Va prendre le suc dans le cœur
De la rose vermeille.
En bourdonnant sous le ciel blue
Et doucement lui fait l'aveu
Se cret de sa tendresse.
L'abeille la caresse.

Vole, Voici le printemps
Vole, La rose t'attend.

Et la fleur cache son secret
Dans sa frêle corolle,
Mais survient le vent indiscret
Qui sans pitié le vole.
Et le secret s'envole.
Petite abeille, il faut rentrer
Voici la nuit,
La nuit au loin s'avance,
Va dans ta ruche, va préparer
Ton miel dans silence.
La nuit au loin s'avance.
Vole,
Humble abeille
Le printemps s'éveille !
