Was hilft dir das?

The round-dance twirls without ceasing, You must take part; There is no getting out of it for no one, You must take part. You say: with the joy of youth My cheek is red. When it is your turn, it shall grow pale; You must take part. They weep when they see you Fetched for the round-dance, You, however, have no tearfilled eye, You must take part. And if they gave you a longer Reprieve than others, In the end, your allotted time, too, is up, You must take part. You say: I am too old for dancing, My foot is lame, My head is weak. How does that help you? You must take part. Your travelling passport, often renewed, Has now expired; Here is your new passport! You must take part.
