by Frederick Locker-Lampson (1821 - 1895)
Translation by Anonymous / Unidentified Author

Ich war ein Mädchen jung und klein
Language: German (Deutsch)  after the English
Ich war ein Mädchen jung und klein,
Und kaum zwei Jahre alt,
Da führte mich mein Schwesterlein
Spazieren in den Wald.

Auf einmal folgte frank und frei
Ein Jäger uns'rer Spur
Und küßte sie mit eins, zwei, drei!
Und sie, sie lachte nur!

Ich aber sah das Ding mit an
Und dachte mir: "Aha!
Wart' nur, wenn ich 'mal sprechen kann,
So sag' ich's der Mama!"
