Nichts Treueres kennt die Welt,
Kein Goldkettlein hält fester,
Als eins am andern hält.

Zwei Liebsten so oft sich scheiden,
Denn Minne verglüht geschwind.
Geschwister in Lust und Leiden
Die bleiben sich hold gesinnt,

So treulich als wie zusammen
Der Mond und die Erde gehn,
Der ewigen Sterne Flammen
Alle Nacht beieinander stehn.

Die Engel im himmlischen Reigen
Frohlocken dem trauten Bund,
Wenn Bruder und Schwester sich neigen
Und küssen sich auf den Mund.

Nieko ištikimesnio pasaulis nežino.
Jokia auksinė grandinėlė nėra tvirtesnė
Už tai, kaip jie vienas kito laikosi.

Du įsimylėjėliai dažnai išsiskiria,
Nes meilė pilna neužtikrintumo.
Gi broliai ir seserys džiaugsme ir skausme
Laikosi vienas kito visą gyvenimą.

Taip ištikimai, kaip mėnulis ir žemė
Skrieja visad kartu,
Taip šalia vienas kito, kaip žvaigždžių liepsnos
Kas naktį viena prie kitos žėri.

Kai brolis ir sesuo susiglaudžia
Ir bučiuojasi burnomis,
Angelai rodosi danguje
Džiūgaudami iš širdies gelmių.
