Vorm Himmelsthor, o süßer Traum, Treffen wir uns wieder, Hängt über die Mauer ein Apfelbaum Seine weißen Blüten nieder. Hockt auf der Mauer ein Englein quer Und baumelt mit den Füßen, Kommen ans Thor zehn andere her, Uns liebreich zu begrüßen. Schlagen zwei die Flügel leis, Will jedes ein Röslein geben, Die rote mir und dir die weiß', Und uns beiden das ewige Leben.
