Blissful Ingress

At heaven's gate, oh blissful dream! we again shall meet, love, where apple-tree-boughs white with blossoms teem, filling the air with odours sweet, love. Perched on the wall sits an angel fair, her dangling feet half meet us; ten more as fair come down heaven's stair and sweetly smiling greet us. Two, with golden wings outspread, bring roses from realms supernal, the white one for you, for me the red, and for both of us life eternal.
