Curtain of foliage

In the distance, I still see
the lights of my city.
And our little nest
hidden in the branches. 

I know that the moon is shining
behind these trees.
And, into the penumbra of this forest,
I can bring
a caress of light
softly on my eyes
only by pulling back a curtain of foliage.
