Steyrisches Lied
Language: Styrian (Steirisch)
Our translations:  ENG
Wer trågt tief im Herzen
a Nam' und a Bild,
der hat a für imma
a Schirm und a Schild.
Es is hålt sein Ålles
in Schmerz und in Freud',
es bleibt hålt sein Ålles
bis in Ewigkeit.
Diadididi ...

Ma siacht zwar oft Menschen,
dö liab'n mehr åls Ein'n;
dås sind nur die Augen,
das Herz kann's nit sein.
Wer treu liabt und ehrli,
muss's Herzblut für geb'n,
der liabt hålt nur aan Mal,
doch für's ganze Leb'n.
Diadididi ...

Und muss ma's verlieren,
wås ma heiß geliabt,
is Trost, dass's im Himmel
a Wied'rsehen giabt;
a Herz, dås kann sterben,
wann's tragt gar so schwer,
doch d'Liab, dö lebt ewig,
dö stirbt nimmamehr.
Diadididi ...

Note: the Gumbert score says "Gedicht (Manuscript) von F. G." so we believe the text is by Gumbert.
