Wie eine Braut so duftig, 
und so feurig wie meine Leidenschaft:
so glänzt du aus dem Becher mir entgegen, 
süsser Wein, süsser Wein.
 
Wie eine Braut will ich dich schmeichelnd lieben,
wie meine Leidenschaft sollst du verströmen,
verströmen tief in mein Gemüt hinein, 
in mein Gemüt hinein.
 
Drauf will ich lallend Verse niederschreiben 
voll Phantasie, - nur dir geweihte Verse,
darin will ich dir alles wiedergeben, 
was du an tiefster Seligkeit mir gabst!
