Bald ist mir lustig, bald ist mir bang.

Ein Ringlein laß ich sinken
Tief auf den Grund.
Thut aus der Tiefe blinken
Ringlein rot und rund.

Wie wenn ein Fischlein sprang,
Gehn von dem Ring die Kreise;
Ach Gott, wie ist mir bang.

Je fis tomber un petit anneau
Tout au fond de l'eau.
Il fait briller les profondeurs,
Le petit anneau rouge et rond.

Quand un petit poisson sautait ,
Les cercles venaient de l'anneau ;
