Im Leiden mein Ergetzen, mein Glück bist du im Schmerz. 
Und mag mich mächtig grämen die Welt mit ihrer Last, --
Sie kann mir's doch nicht nehmen, daß du so lieb mich hast.
Ob meine Sterne alle am Himmel untergehn, --
Ich muß in diesem Falle nach deinen Augen sehn.
