Drei Lieder = Kolme laulua = Three songs , opus 19

by Erkki Gustaf Melartin (1875 - 1937)

1. Indisches Lied
 (Sung text)

Language: German (Deutsch)
Ich erwach’ aus Träumen von dir
im ersten Schlummer der Nacht,
wenn die Winde flüstern im Laub,
und die Sterne schimmern voll Pracht.
Ich erwach’ aus Träumen von dir,
und ein magischer Zauber
trieb meine Schritte mit stürmender Hast
zu deinem Fenster, mein Lieb.

Die Lüfte schweigen so bang
auf dem stillen und dunklen Strom;
wie ein lieblicher Traum verweht
der Champakblüten Arom;
der Nachtigall Klagelied
erstirbt in ihrer Brust,
wie ich in dir vergehe,
du mein Leben, meine Lust!

O, hebe mich empor!
Ich sterb’, ich verschmachte hier!
Auf Lippen und Augen
laß deine Küsse regnen mir!
Meine Wang’ ist bleich und kalt,
wild stürmisch pocht die Brust!
O schließ mein Herz an deins,
wo es brechen wird vor Lust!

2. La lune blanche
 (Sung text)

Language: French (Français)
La lune blanche
Luit dans les bois ;
De chaque branche
Part une voix
Sous la ramée...

Ô bien aimée.

L'étang reflète,
Profond miroir,
La silhouette
Du saule noir
Où le vent pleure...

Rêvons, c'est l'heure.

Un vaste et tendre
Apaisement
Semble descendre
Du firmament
Que l'astre irise...

C'est l'heure exquise.
