Drei Lieder für 1 mittlere Singstimme mit Pianoforte , opus 14

by Louis Victor Franz Saar (1868 - 1937)

1. Immer leiser wird mein Schlummer  [sung text not yet checked]

Language: German (Deutsch)
Immer leiser wird mein Schlummer,
[Nur]1 wie Schleier liegt [mein]2 Kummer
  Zitternd über mir.
Oft im Traume hör' ich dich
Rufen [draus vor meiner]3 Thür:
Niemand wacht und öffnet dir,
  Ich erwach' und weine bitterlich.

Ja ich werde sterben müssen,
Eine andre wirst du küssen,
  Wenn ich bleich und kalt.
Eh die Maienlüfte [wehen]4,
Eh die Drossel singt im Wald:
Willst du [mich noch einmal sehen]5,
  [Komm, o komme bald!]6
