1. Blätterfall  [sung text not yet checked]

Leise, windverwehte Lieder,
Mögt ihr fallen in den Sand!
Blätter seid ihr eines Baumes,

Welke, windverwehte Blätter,
Boten naher Winterruh',
Fallet sacht! . . . ihr deckt die Gräber
Mancher todten Hoffnung zu.

2. Morgen  [sung text not yet checked]

Language: German (Deutsch)
Wie du nun vom blauen Hügel,
Sonne, deine Hände hebst
Und auf goldgesäumtem Flügel
Lächelnd nach der Höhe schwebst,
Hängt sich meiner Seele Sehnen
Weinend an dein weißes Kleid,
Daß du mich aus Noth und Thränen
Trügst in ew'ge Herrlichkeit!

  • by Anna (Nuhn) Ritter (1865 - 1921), "Morgen", appears in Gedichte, in 3. Nach Jahren, no. 34
