2. Wo i schlafen möcht'  [sung text checked 1 time]
I schlaf nit gern in Heu; is's alt, gibt's Viecher drein, und is's ganz frisch und neu, tuat oan vor G'ruch der Schädel weh! I schlaf nit gern in Stroh, wal man bald da, bald dort sich sticht, und jed's Mal wird ma munter, das is gar a dumme G'schicht! I schlaf nit gern in Gras, wann's no so pelzi is und dicht; wann ma aufsteht in da Fruah, da is ma waschelnaß im G'sicht! I schlaf nit gern in Bett, wal i allmal gern lufti bin, des G'wammswerch g'fallt mir gar nit, 's wird oan gar so haß dad'rin! „Wo schlafst denn nachher gern?“ hat z'naxt mi unser Pfarrer g'fragt; hab's aber'n geistli'n Herrn, obwohl i's wissen tua, nit g'sagt. I woaß wohl: Is ma miad, so kann ma überall schlafen guat; 's macht's aber mei Geblüat, dass si's bei mir halt ninderscht tuat! I schlaf nit gern alloan, ja das is mei ganze Not! O steh mir bei, du lieber Gott! Mei Mirzl muaß si zu mir leg'n, sonst stirb i mi no z'Tod!
