2 Gedichte von Matthison

by Heinrich Proch (1809 - 1878)

1. Andenken  [sung text not yet checked]

Language: German (Deutsch)
Ich denke dein,
[Wenn]1 durch den Hain
Der Nachtigallen
[Akkorde]2 schallen!
[Wann]3 denkst du mein?

Ich denke dein
Im Dämmerschein
Der Abendhelle
Am Schattenquelle!
Wo denkst du mein?

Ich denke dein
Mit süßer Pein,
Mit bangem Sehnen
[Und]4 heißen Thränen!
Wie denkst du mein?

[O denke mein,]5
Bis zum Verein
Auf besserm Sterne!
In jeder Ferne
Denk' ich nur dein!

2. Die Betende  [sung text not yet checked]

Language: German (Deutsch)
Laura betet! Engelharfen hallen
[Frieden]1 Gottes in ihr krankes Herz,
Und, wie Abels Opferdüfte, wallen
Ihre Seufzer himmelwärts.

Wie sie kniet, in Andacht hingegossen,
Schön, wie Raphael die Unschuld malt!
Vom Verklärungsglanze schon umflossen,
Der um Himmelswohner strahlt.

O sie fühlt, im leisen, linden Wehen,
[Froh des Hocherhabnen]2 Gegenwart,
Sieht im Geiste schon die Palmenhöhen,
Wo der Lichtkranz ihrer harrt!

So von Andacht, so von Gottvertrauen
Ihre engelreine Brust geschwellt,
Betend diese Heilige zu schauen,
Ist ein Blick in jene Welt!
