Zwei Lieder

Song Cycle by Christine Triacca-Kalisch (1887 - 1969)

1. Schicksalstag
 (Sung text)

Language: German (Deutsch)
Wenn die trüben Tage grauen,
Kalt und feindlich blickt die Welt,
Findet scheu sich dein Vertrauen,
Ganz auf dich allein gestellt.

Aber in dich selbst verwiesen
Aus der alten Freuden Land,
Siehst du neuen Paradiesen,
Deinen Glauben zugewandt.

Als dein Eigenstes erkennst du,
Was dir fremd und feind erschien,
Und mit neuen Namen nennst du
Dein Geschick und und nimmst es hin.

Was dich zu erdrücken drohte,
Zeigt sich freundlich, atmet Geist,
Ist ein Führer, ist ein Bote,
Der dich hoch und höher weist.

2. Neues Erleben
 (Sung text)

Language: German (Deutsch)
Wieder seh ich Schleier sinken,
Und Vertrautestes wird fremd,
Neue Sternenräume winken,
Seele schreitet traumgehemmt.

Abermals in neuen Kreisen
Ordnet sich um mich die Welt,
Und ich seh mich eiteln Weisen,
Als ein Kind hineingestellt.

Doch aus früheren Geburten
Zuckt entfernte Ahnung her:
Sterne sanken, Sterne wurden,
Und der Raum war niemals leer.

Seele beugt sich und erhebt sich,
Atmet in Unendlichkeit,
Aus zerrißenen Fäden webt sich
Neu und schöner Gottes Kleid.
